Who is Alice?
Hi, my name is Alice Donaldson - A multi-disciplinary artist with a deep love for creativity in all its forms. After retiring from my professional career, I've devoted my time to pursuing my lifelong passion for the arts.
My Journey
My work spans a variety of mediums, including acrylic painting, graphite and ink drawing, embroidery, photography, and wire art, it is the wire art that has had the biggest impact.
Your Commemorative Journey Begins Here
Creating a memorial piece is a deeply personal experience, and I’m honoured to walk that path with you.
It begins with your choice of dragonfly size, and from there, I carefully select the wire colour to complement the costume jewellery you provide — a meaningful connection to your loved one.
Together, we’ll shape a design that reflects their personality, passions, or hobbies. I’ll sketch ideas tailored to your wishes, and from there, the wings are lovingly handcrafted using materials that hold special significance — resin, beads, manuscript, embroidery threads, or even springs and screws for a steampunk touch.
I work closely with each person, one-to-one, because I know how emotional and unique this process can be. My goal is to create something beautiful, respectful, and deeply personal.
If you feel a dragonfly isn’t quite right, I’m also able to create butterflies, spiders, or scorpions — unique expressions to honour unique lives.

I loose wire dragonflies, as well as framed ones. These are created to allow you to add to your Christmas tree, a mirror or even a wedding bouquet, or a journal.
